Among the major duties of the Utilitiesman are
troubleshooting and servicing oil burners. To keep the
burner in good operating condition, you must be able to
recognize the symptoms of various types of trouble
and must know how to make various service and
maintenance adjustments to the burner.
Because fuel oils do not burn in the liquid state,
several physical conditions must be attained to affect
complete and efficient combustion.
