The face is too soft andcould chip.Be sure to check for a loose head or acracked handle before use.The following set-up is established to provide practicedriving nails successfully.1Lay two pieces of wood parallel to each other. Placea third piece on top and align so that the edges areeven.2Support a common nail (1) between thumb and firstfinger about halfway up the nail.NOTEA piece of paper or a comb (2) can beused to hold small nails.3Tap nail head (3) with hammer face (4) until the nailwill remain standing by itself.4Remove fingers and drive nail flush. Make sure thehand supporting the work is not in direct line with thehammer blows.21-10
